The Game. I just lost it, and so did you.

Many people haven't heard of The Game, but, on the other end of the spectrum, many people have. It's one of the strangest and, I quote, "the most fantastic, the most revolutionary, the most intangible game on Earth."

I can try to explain it to you, and the rules are on the unofficial website.

Okay, so here's how it works. If you think of the Game, you lose the game. If you lose the game, you have to announce to everyone around you that you've lost the Game, causing them to think of the Game, and in turn lose it, and announce it to everyone around them, etc.

It doesn't matter what makes you think of the Game, but as long as you think of it, you lose. You might be reading a blog, and then remember this sweet blog post where you read about this game... BAM! You just lost the game. Announce it to everyone around you, post it as a status on Facebook or Twitter, or send emails to your friends.

You probably still don't understand, and it's hard to explain when you're not in person. But once you have your family and friends in on the game, it's immense fun to announce int he middle of dinner, "Oh, and I lost the Game today," and hear their groans of anguish and the numerous insults thrown in your direction.

So try it out next time you have a gathering of some sort and, seeing as most of the people around you won't know what it is, explain and become the life of the party.

Oh, by the way, you just lost the Game. :p
