Harvard and Bunnies

Hello world!

This is me, reporting after another absence of sorts. I figured it'd be fun to get back in the bloggy mood, and, to be honest, nothing much has happened in the past two weeks.

I think.

Nothing I can remember instantaneously, anyway. There are some pretty hectic, wonderful, exciting things coming up, though!

First of all, an interview for Harvard College. Tomorrow. With a plastic surgeon.

This is Harvard's Dining Hall. It's like Hogwarts! ^^

Excitedly Nervous = Me

This interview may make or break me in terms of acceptance. I don't think I'm strong enough to get in on just my grades alone, so this could be helpful. I just hope I don't screw up big time. I also hope that this doctor is more conversational in person than he was on the phone.

There are a few more exciting events coming up, and I shall (hopefully) keep this updated. We shall see if time permits.

Also, -shameless plug- look at this awesome blog just started up by someone dear to my heart, almost as dear as Bunny!

Until then,

O.O.

Snow Day = The End of Christmas

Hello world...

Today, my prayers were answered!

SNOW DAY!!!

We did indeed get that giant windfall of snow that was promised. I use the term windfall literally. There were drifts up to my head. They covered our automobiles. T'was awesome.

Funny thing was, they canceled school before the snow even started falling! BEFORE. There was not a flake in the sky, and the school closings were pouring in!!!

It was wonderful!

Most unwonderful was the fact that my mother took the opportunity to make me and my brother help her finally put away the Christmas decorations and take down the tree.

Yes, we still had it up on February 1st. It's somewhat of a family tradition to keep our tree up obscenely long. And our lights are still up on the house! We'll probably take those down eventually. Give us a month or so.

Anyways, this midnight post must come to a close. Here's to another day off of school tomorrow!

But before I go, a short winter joke for ya:

What's an ig?

An eskimo's house without a loo!

Harharhar!

Have a good one!

Blood and Snow

Hello world!

I would just like to inform you that this guy is your newest blood donor! That's right! There is a pint of my blood sitting in a refrigerator somewhere!

We had a blood drive at our school yesterday, and while I've tried to donate before, I could never get a full pint. Well, yesterday was apparently the day. The nurse was surprised at how quick I was finished, and when they tried to clot the bleeding, it took two tries. I guess my veins just wanted to keep giving!

. . .

Well, enough about blood. On to something more exciting, like...

SNOW DAYS!

For days (and by days, I mean since Monday), all that anyone at school has been talking about is the upcoming snow storm and the guarantee of a snow day tomorrow. Well, I've yet to see the actual storm itself, but even my dad seems confident that we're not going to have school tomorrow, and he's never confident about that sort of thing! Here's to hoping I'll have all day to catch up on sleep and required reading tomorrow!

Speaking of snow, here's a snow sculpture that I might consider making tomorrow if we get the snow I'm wishing for. (Nerd alert!)

Playing Dungeons and Dragons in the snow with snow dice and snow creatures. Can you think of a better way to spend a snow day?

I think not!

Hoping and praying for a godsend of snow tonight!
